Eligibility Criteria

Class 12 (10+2) – PCM Required Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as core subjects in HSC / 12th Standard
Minimum 60% in PCM aggregate SC/ST/OBC candidates get 5% relaxation as per Gujarat norms
JEE Main / GUJCET Score (preferred) Valid JEE Main or GUJCET score is preferred; direct admission also available
Age Criteria Minimum 17 years as on 31st December 2026
Lateral Entry (Diploma Holders) Diploma in Mechanical / EC / EE with 60%+ eligible for direct 2nd year admission

What makes this program different from a regular B.Tech Mechanical Engineering?

This is a specialised track of B.Tech Mechanical Engineering with an exclusive collaboration with ADDVERB Technologies — India's leading robotics company. Students get 40% of their curriculum dedicated to Robotics, Automation, AI, and Smart Manufacturing, plus live lab access using ADDVERB's actual AMRs, internship opportunities, visiting faculty from ADDVERB, and a dual industry certificate that a regular B.Tech doesn't offer.

Is the degree valid and recognised?

Yes. The B.Tech degree is awarded by Sankalchand Patel University (SPU), which is a NAAC-accredited university and affiliated with GTU (Gujarat Technological University). The degree is fully recognised by UGC, AICTE and all professional bodies. The ADDVERB industry certificate is an additional credential on top of the degree.

Is an internship at ADDVERB guaranteed?

Students in this program receive priority consideration for internships at ADDVERB Technologies. While final selection depends on ADDVERB's capacity and student performance, the collaboration gives SPU students a significant advantage in the selection process. Students also have access to internships at 50+ other industry partner companies.

What is the fee for this program and are scholarships available?

The tuition fee is regulated by the government (ACPC) and is the same as standard engineering programs in Gujarat. The ADDVERB lab and certification component is included at no extra charge. Merit-based scholarships, SC/ST/OBC fee concessions, and education loan assistance are all available. Contact the admissions office at 9736362020 for a detailed fee breakup.

What is the intake capacity? How competitive is admission?

The program has a limited intake of 60 seats. Admission is primarily merit-based through GUJCET / JEE Main scores. Given the unique industry collaboration, seats fill quickly. We strongly recommend applying early and submitting complete documents before the July 31st early deadline.

Can diploma holders apply? What about NRI / international students?

Yes! Diploma holders in Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering with 60%+ aggregate can apply for lateral entry (direct 2nd year admission).
