An e-conference on "General Principles of Intellectual Property Rights" was successfully organized on 20th and 21st July by a joint venture of Sankalchand Patel University, Visnagar affiliated Nootan Pharmacy College and Gujarat Council of Science and Technology, Gandhinagar. The inaugural function of the e-conference was attended by Dr. Avinash Kumar Seth, Principal, Faculty of Pharmacy, Sumandeep University, who provided guidance on the growing prevalence of intellectual property in pharmacy. The Vice Chancellor of Sankalchand Patel University, Dr. J. R. Patel encouraged the various research activities, research projectors and publications conducted at Nootan Pharmacy College. The technical director of the university, Dr. D. J. Shah highlighted the various activities of SSIP Cell, Patent Information Cell, Super Computer Facility and I-Hub, Innovation Center functioning at the University. The Principal and Dean of Nootan Pharmacy College, Dr. J. K. Patel has been working in various research projects in the college, SSIP, Project Patentable Project, AICTE and ICMR funded modern research lab provided detailed information. The two-day conference was attended online by more than 100 research scholars, faculty members and students from the pharma industry across India. The conference featured lectures by experts on various topics related to Basic of Intellectual Property, Patent Filing, Innovative Project Ideas, Plagiarism in Research Papers and other patentable inventions.
