Sports is an integral part of learning for students at Sankalchand Patel University and the Nootan Sports Complex houses facilities for various sporting activities. It includes a large playground with a full-size running track, a cricket pitch, a football ground, a basketball court as well as indoor facilities such as table-tennis, yoga, chess, and various other games.
Many cultural activities have been a regular feature at Sankalchand Patel University. Events like Udaan and Thanganat offer a wonderful platform to students to showcase their singing, dancing, theatrics, elocution, painting etc. skills. It is a coming together of various fields of extra-curricular activities and we have always created an environment that recognizes and nurtures talent.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. The main aim is tot develop student’s personality through community services. At Sankalchand Patel University, the NSS keeps happening on a regular basis. It’s on a voluntary basis and the participating students have an in-depth discussion on education, environment, ethics, careers, cleanliness, discipline etc.
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of the Armed Forces and is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis. Here at Sankalchand Patel University, the NCC students are given due training to be disciplined and emerge as patriotic citizens of the country. Various camps are organized wherein, important life lessons along with adequate physical training is imparted to students.
Many important days are celebrated here with much fanfare. Days like Independence Day, Republic Day, Foundation Day, Teacher’s Day, Environment Day etc. It unites students to celebrate important events from our history and day-to-day life.
