University Research Day 2026
Each year the university brings researchers and scholars together on campus to exchange knowledge and ideas.
Alongside the central gathering, every constituent institution is encouraged to organise its own events that promote a culture of research among students and faculty.

Constituent colleges host talks, exhibitions and activities of their own.
The day invites both to take part, present and learn from each other.
CRI supports researchers from admission to Ph.D., through funding and publication, to patents and start-ups.

The Sankalchand Patel Innovation & Incubation Foundation supports student start-ups.

The date marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai (1919–1971), Father of the Indian Space Programme, who was born and brought up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. SPU dedicates its Research Day to his memory.
