73rd Republic Day was celebrated at Sankalchand Patel University by strictly following the social distance as per the guideline of Covid-19 of the government. Dr. Laxmanbhai K Patel, Trustee of Nootan Sarva Vidyalaya Kelvani Mandal, and other trustees, Provost Dr. J R Patel, Registrar Dr. P K Pandey, and other office bearers of the University On this occasion, Trustee Dr. Laxmanbhai K Patel hoisted the tricolor and reminded the freedom fighters who made significant contribution in the freedom struggle of the country. He also congratulated Sankalchand Patel University President Shri Prakashbhai Patel as well as the all staff of the University for making it one of the leading universities in the state of Gujarat.
In addition, President Shri Prakashbhai Patel expressed his concern over the global epidemic of Covid-19 and boosted the morale of the all present to help and save the country from this epidemic. At such a difficult time, everyone appealed to the Corona to keep a social distance, using masks and using sanitizers. He further said that as per the government guidelines, free updated treatment has been started for the patients affected by Covid-19 at the designated Covid Health Center at the Nootan General Hospital on the University campus which should be noted by the public. From the Nootan General Hospital 250 corona affected patients were given one such injection worth rupees thirty-five thousand free of cost and the patients were discharged free of corona. The President lauded the special services of the doctors and paramedical staff of the Medical General Hospital of the University as well as other staff as Corona Warriors. The university provides education to the students using the online platform, which was credited to the professors as well as the staff of the university.
