CDE – “Oral Pathology: A Boon to the Clinical Practice” was organised by the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology as a part of career counseling to the students, interns and Post graduate students, faculties of the institute, other institute in Gujarat and also to the private practioners. The speaker discussed the importance and application of knowledge of oral pathology in day to day clinical practice which would help in proper diagnosis. He also spoke on the importance of investigation required to come to a proper diagnosis. The added information on the requirement of cytology and biopsy and the points on how to handle of the biopsy specimen were the highlights of the program. Career opportunities that can be sought after UG or PG were the points which kept the interest going for the attendees.
