Cricket tournaments like IPL are organized at national and international level by Shri Tal Kadava Patidar Yuva Utkarsh Samiti. Accordingly, the Tal Kadava Patidar Premier League (TKPL) - 2022 Night Cricket Tournament was successfully organized from 17-03-2022 to 20-03-2022 at Sankalchand Patel University Ground. The main objective of which is to acquaint the youth with each other, to strengthen the organization and to free the youth of the society from addiction, to strengthen them physically and mentally, to increase the spirit of goodwill and patriotism and to make a name for oneself in sports as well as studies.
Eight teams participated in this cricket tournament in which players were selected by the sponsors of each team from the auction on the lines of IPL in which a total of 163 players registered for the auction out of which 112 players from eight teams were selected by the team sponsor. The colorful program of TKPL-2022 was opened on 17-03-2022, in which players of all the teams, sponsors, community leaders, dignitaries, invited guests, members of the trust were present. Shri Prakashbhai Patel, President of Sankalchand Patel University and President of Tal Kadava Patidar Samaj, who has been instrumental in making this tournament a success, was present and cut the ribbon to inaugurate the tournament. More than 8,000 spectators turned up every night to watch the tournament, boosting the enthusiasm of the players as well as the live coverage of the cricket tournament. Jigneshbhai Master, Mukesh Kaka and his team worked hard to make this tournament a success. In which Shri Prakashbhai Patel, President of Sankalchand Patel University and President of Tal Kadava Patidar Samaj continuously provided encouragement to the youth. The main courtesy of this tournament is organized under the constant guidance of Sankalchand Patel University. Honorable MP Shardaben Patel, Former President Shri Jashubhai Patel (Kansa), Shri Rajubhai Patel (RK Jewelers), Vice President of Nootan Sarva Vidyalaya Kelvani Mandal Shri Chandrakantbhai Patel and other leaders of the society were present as the Chief Guest during the final match on 20-03-2022. At the end of the prize giving ceremony, the winning team, runners-up team, Man of the Series, Best Bowlers, Best Player, Man of the Match etc. were given trophies by the guests and encouraged.
