On August 5th and 6th, 2022, Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge, Narsinhbhai Patel Dental College and Hospital, Sankalchand Patel University hosted a two-day workshop on ‘TMDs: A Systematic approach to Diagnosis & Managements’ under the aegis of Gujarat State Branch of the Indian Prosthodontic Society. Dr. V Rangarajan (President, IPS HO) & Dr. Satish Devarajan served as guest speakers during the program. The inauguration was graced with presence of Shri Prakash Patel (President, SPU), Dr. D J Shah (Provost, SPU) , Dr. Vilas Patel (Dean, NPDCH & Organizing Chairperson), Dr. J R Patel (Past President HO) and Dr. Sareen Duseja (Organizing Secretary). 213 delegates including Faculties, Private Clinicians, physiotherapists, postgraduate and undergraduate students from across Gujarat, 2 eminent speakers, HODs of various dental colleges from Gujarat, and other distinguished attendees took part in the event. The workshop was a combination of excellent extremely educational scientific discussion with didactic lectures and demonstrations on the examination of the TMJ, associated muscles, and the use of trigger point injections for treatment. The delegates had a remarkable learning experience and lots of take back points for Orofacial pain management in affected patients.
