Management Behind the Miracle” – Inspiring Guidance by Pujya Dhairyomuni Swamiji at Sankalchand Patel University on the Auspicious Occasion of Vasant Panchami

On the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami—a festival symbolizing the harmony of knowledge and wisdom—a unique confluence of spiritual insight and modern management unfolded at Sankalchand Patel University. Pujya Dhairyomuni Swamiji, IPDC Coordinator of BAPS and an alumnus of IIM Udaipur, delivered an inspiring address to more than 700 management students on the theme “The Management Behind the Miracle.” In his experience-rich discourse, Pujya Swamiji emphasized that “Miracles do not descend from the sky; they grow on the foundation of discipline, values, and determination.” He explained that whether it is a spiritual organization or the corporate world, the core pillars of success remain the same—clear vision, ethical values, teamwork, continuous planning, and selfless leadership. A major highlight of the seminar was an in-depth case study of the Pramukh Swami Maharaj Centenary Celebrations (2022–23), held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, from 15 December 2022 to 15 January 2023. This month-long mega event emerged as a living example of world-class management in the modern era. Pujya Swamiji elaborated on how “Pramukh Swami Nagar,” spread across 600 acres near Ognaj Circle on Sardar Patel Ring Road, was conceptualized and developed within just nine months. Massive exhibitions, the Akshardham replica, daily cultural programs, and the seamless management of millions of visitors showcased extraordinary planning, exceptional coordination, disciplined volunteer management, and sincere teamwork. The event clearly demonstrated that when culture and management walk hand in hand, even the impossible becomes achievable. The key learnings from the case study highlighted that the success of any initiative is deeply rooted in its organizational culture, where value-based work ethics guide the entire system. A clear and commonly accepted goal inspires every individual to move in one direction. Success depends not only on grand ideas but also on meticulous micro-level planning that minimizes errors. Effective coordination among departments simplifies execution, while a spirit of “We” instead of “I” transforms individual strength into collective achievement. When these elements come together through visionary, time-bound project management, the result is what we often call a “miracle.” In his concluding remarks, Pujya Dhairyomuni Swamiji stated, “Today’s managers should learn management not only for profit, but for humanity. When compassion is embedded in action and integrity in planning, miracles become inevitable.” After this inspiring session, students returned not just with notes, but with a renewed perspective, deeper thinking, and values that will guide them throughout their lives. The dignified presence of Shri Prakashbhai Patel (President), Prof. (Dr.) P. M. Udani (Provost), Registrar Dr. Parimal Trivedi, Dr. P. J. Patel (Principal), and Dr. Jitendra Sharma (Dean, Faculty of Management Studies) added grandeur to the event.
