Today, while the entire country is celebrating 75 years of independence, ‘The Amrut Mahotsav of independence’ was celebrated at Sankalchand Patel University. Shri Prakashbhai Patel, President of Sankalchand Patel University, all the trustees, Provost Dr. J. R. Patel, Registrar Dr. P K Pandey, Principals of all the Institutes, office bearers of the University, and all the staff members and students of the institutes were present with great enthusiasm. At the Nootan sports complex of the university, President Shri Prakashbhai Patel hoisted the National Flag and he remembered late Shri Sankalchand Dada - a freedom fighter who made an important contribution to the freedom struggle of our country. On this occasion, he lauded the achievements made by the university in a very short span of time, congratulated everyone for being ranked among the leading universities in the survey in the state of Gujarat, and said that it will be ranked among the reputed universities of the country in future. Under the Research and Innovation Policy, a number of activities are being carried out by the University for the holistic development of the faculties and students, which will benefit the students of each faculty to the maximum.
He lauded the invaluable contribution of all the doctors, paramedical, and teaching and non-teaching staff of the University for the service rendered by them during covid at Nootan General Hospital run by the Nootan Medical College and Research Center and hoped that the citizens of North Gujarat would get the best possible treatment in the years to come. In the end, President Shri Prakashbhai Patel wished everyone a happy Independence Day.
