9th International Yoga Day was celebrated at Sankalchand Patel University

In today's era of technology, International Yoga Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in over 170 countries around the world. This global observance, established by the United Nations, aims to raise awareness about the importance of yoga and physical exercise in our modern lives.
At Sankalchand Patel University in Visnagar, the celebration of International Yoga Day included a gathering of more than 1500 employees and students. Under the guidance of Yogacharya Shri Ratnakar Padhana, participants engaged in Yoga and Pranayama, expressing their thoughts on the numerous physical and mental benefits these practices offer. Shri Ratnakar Padhana emphasized that yoga is not merely a physical exercise, but a holistic approach to well-being that enhances consciousness in mind, body, and energy.
To mark this occasion, the NSS department of Sankalchand Patel University organized a Yogasana and Suryanamaskar competition. Shri Prakash Patel, the President of the university, along with Provost Dr. Prafulkumar Udani and Registrar Dr. K. A. Patel, encouraged and applauded the winning faculty and students. In his address, Shri Prakash Patel highlighted the significance of yoga and exercise in today's hectic lifestyle, stressing their practical utility in maintaining a healthy body and mind. He advocated for the integration of yoga and other activities on a monthly basis, benefiting both the employees and students. Sankalchand Patel University, committed to the overall development of its students, offers proper guidance in various areas such as sports, yoga, and health academy.
President Shri Prakash Patel, Provost Dr. Prafulkumar Udani, Registrar Dr. K. A. Patel, and the entire university community extended their congratulations to the organizers and the NSS unit for the successful execution of the program. The university takes immense pride in the achievements of its students, with more than 84 students showcasing their talents and bringing glory to the institution at the All India University competition last year.
