Sankalchand Patel University is thrilled to celebrate “World Water Day” on 22nd March, 2024 in association with Water Management Forum, Ahmedabad, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, SPU and NSS Unit of the University.
Shree S.B.Vasava, Hon. Housing Commissioner, Gujarat Housing Board, Government of Gujarat remain present as Chief Guest and addressed on the preservation of water. He praised the initiatives taken by the Sankalchand Patel University towards the green campus with various eco-projects like rainwater harvesting, recharge wells, Biogas Plant etc.
Mr. M.D. Patel, Chief Engineer (North Gujarat) & Additional Secretary, Water Resources Department, Government of Gujarat has emphases to make awareness about water and start the self-controlled steps towards saving water.
Shri Prakash Patel, President of University has appealed to all stakeholders to use the water as special gift of God and sensitized the students for the careful use of water as a natural resource. Subject expert Mr. Setu Shah has nicely explained the theme “Leveraging Water for Peace” through presentation. Prof. (Dr.) P.M.Udani has welcomed all the dignitaries and students participating in celebration of World Water Day. Water Management Forum, Ahmedabad has arranged exhibition on “Save Water” and more than thousand students has visited the exhibition.
