Annual Cultural Festival “Nootan Udaan 2023” at Sankalchand Patel University

Sankalchand Patel University is the only university of its kind in North Gujarat offering schooling to degree to post doctoral courses. The university tenders a composite environment of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Annual days celebrations provide an opportunity for the students to indulge in non-academic activities and bond with each other. It strengthens the peer relationships and brings the students closer to the staff, inducts the feel of a family.

A weeklong celebration of cultural activities is being witnessed including Group, Saree & Kurta, Executive, Signature and Bollywood Day which started from 13th of February 2023. The activities including Debate, Elocution, Pot painting, Rangoli, Collage, Poster, Best out of waste, Mehandi, Salad decoration and Short film was arranged. Students were offered a platform to showcase their hidden talent wherein an enthusiastic crowd participating was witnessed. Special attraction and unique of its kind was presented as Selfie zone, food fiesta and craft exhibition. Stage events were reserved for the sundown on 17th February 2023. Group and solo dance, drama, singing, mimicry and mime were the events performed by the talented scholars. The event was graced by the presence of Shri Somabhai Modi and Hon’ble Shardaben A Patel, Member of Parliament as Guest of Honour. 8000 capacity Open Air Theater and Wall of Fame was inaugurated by the guests. National and International researchers and special achievers among students and faculties were felicitated.

President Shri Prakash Patel said that conducting such festivals improves rational thinking amongst students, as it will help them develop a positive attitude in every aspect of life. Provost SPU, Dr. D J Shah said such events will help students grow holistically into better beings.

More than 7000 members including invited guests, trustees, university officials, faculties and students were part of the gala event.
