Sankalchand Patel University Women Development Cell with Collaboration of Nootan College of Nursing organized the World Breastfeeding Week 2023 with various events from August 2, 2023. On the 2nd of August, a Breastfeeding Awareness Program highlighting the importance of breastfeeding was conducted at Kherva PHC, involving students from the Nootan College of Nursing in roles. Following this a display on 'Breastfeeding Nutrition' is also being organized for the PHC. During this program, many mothers and all officials of the PHC including Dr. Ishvarbhai Solanki, Medical Officer, Dr. Moiksha Patel, Ayush Medical Officer and various staff from different departments of Kherva PHC were present.
On the 5th of August 2023, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM, a poster competition on the topic of 'The Importance of Breastfeeding: Recent Research' was organized in the seminar room of the Nootan College of Nursing. A large number of students enthusiastically participated. After this on the same day from 1:30 PM to 3 PM a symposium on the theme of World Breastfeeding Week 2023 was organized by the faculty of the Nootan College of Nursing. Shri Prakashbhai Patel, President of Sankalchand Patel University, and Prof. (Dr.) P.M. Udani, Provost, along with Dr. Shiva Subramaniam, Principal of the Nootan College of Nursing, and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing Department, conveyed their best wishes.
