On August 17, 2024, Raksha Bandhan ceremony was celebrated at Sankalchand Patel University, Visnagar, organized University’s Women Development Cell and Office of Student Affairs in coordination with the Brahma Kumaris’ centre , Visnagar. The event was attended by more than 200 faculty members and students from the University.
Sisters from the Brahma Kumaris Visnagar Center, including BK Sheetalben and her colleague, were present to discuss the spiritual, scientific, and cultural significance of Raksha Bandhan. They offered their blessings to the gathered audience. BK Sheetalben highlighted in her address that the true connection is the one between the soul and the Supreme Soul, and maintaining a positive spiritual approach is crucial for mental peace in today’s times.
At the end of a brief meditation session, the BK sisters tied Rakhis on the wrists of each faculty member and student, providing their blessings. The University President, Mr. Prakash Patel, and Provost Prof. (Dr.) Praful Kumar Udani extended their best wishes to the event organizers for the successful execution of the program. They also expressed gratitude to the Brahma Kumari sisters for their presence, guidance, and blessings.
