Department Of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Narsinhbhai Patel Dental College and Hospital, NSS of Sankalchand Patel university organized an “OMFS Walkathon”- A road rally for creating awareness among the general public regarding Road Safety and Traffic Rules Awareness along with the Emergency Management of Road Traffic Accident Cases in Mehsana on 12th February, 2023. This initiative was made because with the passing time, road traffic has increased and the traffic rules are not being followed which leads to numerous accidents and loss of lives. Around 360 people participated in this rally. The walkathon started from Biladi Baugh where Our Famous RJ Mamta from Our radio partner Top FM mehsana joined for the commencement of the rally, there was enthusiastic contribution by all the participants in form of various slogans and posters. Then at Radhanpur Cross Road students performed a skit regarding Traffic rules and road safety and at the end at Modhera Cross road, other skits for Role of Oral and maxillofacial surgeon and emergency management of accident patient were performed. We covered a stretch of approximately 4 Kms. So, by this event we made the general public aware regarding steps to be taken to Save a Life in such compromised situations. We hope that this effort from our side succeeded in making a difference in the society.
