On 28th July 2023, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Sankalchand Patel University constituent college Nootan Institute of Design and Communication, Visnagar and Dharti Vikas Mandal, a well-established social organization working in the field of women's empowerment and self-employment for the last 75 years. The MOU aims to provide technical support for skill training to specially recognized women in areas such as garment design, tailoring, art and painting, handicrafts, and other related fields.
Mr. Prakash Patel, the President of Sankalchand Patel University has wholeheartedly supported this joint social initiative and expressed his desire to provide assistance to over 1000 specially recognized women to attain self-employment through this joint project in the coming year. He emphasized the university's commitment to social responsibility and assured full support to Dharti Vikas Mandal for all possible endeavors.
During the signing ceremony, Mr. Prakash Patel, President of Sankalchand Patel University, Mrs. Joliben Patel, Trustee of Dharti Vikas Mandal, Dr. Maulik Shah, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Dr. K. A. Patel, Registrar, and Dr. P. M. Udhani, Provost were present.
