Perio RAPID (National Clinical Skill Enhancement Program) was organised by Department of Periodontology, Narsinhbhai Patel Dental College and Hospital, Sankalchand Patel University on 22rd– 25thMarch, 2023. Theme of this 4 days program was “Recent Advances in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry”. 84 Delegates from various dental colleges of Gujarat and Rajasthan have registered for the program. In Inauguration Ceremony Shri Prakash Patel, President, SPU and Dr. D. J. Shah, Provost, SPU motivated all the participants and encouraged them to be part of such programs for professional upliftment. Dr. Vilas Patel, Dean, NPDCH, SPU gave her full support to conduct this program and motivated all the delegates. Dr. Sandeep Singh graced the occation with his presence. This Program was organized under leadership of Organizing Chair person, HOD, Department of Periodontology, Dr. Hiral Parikh. The program was well co-ordinated with the efforts of Dr. Shilpa Duseja, Organizing Secretary, and Faculty Members of Department of Periodontology Dr. Jalpa Patel, Scientific Commitee, Dr. Priya Patel, Registration Commitee and Dr. Palak Patel, Treasurer. Lectures and workshop was conducted by International Speakers Dr. Sandeep Singh and Dr. Pinal Patel in Which Live Demonstration was given and Hands-on preparation of different generation of platelet concentrates was done by all the delegates. Brilliant day it was with outstanding deliberations from Dr. Sandeep Singh and Dr. Pinal Patel. Soft tissue is an issue was very well sorted by Dr. Pinak Kapadia.. A brilliant add-on to the program with a live surgery for GBR by Dr. Sandeep Singh and session ending with a Sinus management surgery by Dr. Nirav Patel. A marathon 3 hrs lecture on Hard and soft tissue considerations around implants followed by a live surgery for GBR with simultaneous implant placement was done by Dr. Ashvini Padhye. Scientific Paper Presentation and Scientific Poster Presentation was done by Faculty, Post-graduate and Under-graduate Students. Overall the program was very well appreciated by all the Speakers and Participants.
