As a part of the Fit India Movement, Healthy India and Nation First initiative of the successful Prime Minister of India Hon'ble Shri Narendrabhai Modi, today, Bharat Vikas Parishad and Sankalchand Patel University, Visnagar organized a "Run for Health & Nation" at the open air theater in Sankalchand Patel University, Visnagar campus. 7km Marathon was held with the aim of health & fitness. In this event, Gujarat State Cabinet Minister Hon'ble Mr. Rishikeshbhai Patel was the chief guest who joined through virtual medium and encouraged all the contestants participating in the marathon and gave a message to maintain fitness and health and wished everyone for their enthusiastic participation in the marathon. Mr. Prakashbhai Patel, President of Sankalchand Patel University as the Chief Inaugural Officer, Dr Omprakash, Mehsana District Development Officer, Mrs. Meenaben Patel, wife of Hon'ble Cabinet Minister Mr. Rishikeshbhai Patel, Mrs. Artiben Patel, Managing Trustee of Gurukul School, Mr. Bhanu Prasad Shastri, DYSP of Visanagar, Mr. Dineshsinh Chauhan, Police inspector Shri Ninama as Chief Guest as well as sponsors of the marathon were present. This marathon was organized by office bearers and members under the leadership of Dr. Nikhil Thakakr, President of Bharat Vikas Parishad. The marathon was started with the famous aerobic Zumba dance which has created the whole atmosphere of the open air theater alive and excited. More than 2000 runners enthusiastically participated in this marathon. The first five finishers were felicitated with special medals by the guests and each runner who completed the marathon was encouraged with a medal.
