Today, Sankalchand Patel University commenced its 8th Foundation Day celebrations with a resounding success, starting with a Campus Cleaning Drive, embodying our commitment to a clean and green environment. Led by President Shri Prakash Patel, Provost Dr. Prafulkumar Udani, Registrar Dr. Parimal Trivedi, and Director Technical Dr. H. N. Shah, alongside our esteemed Deans, HOIs, and dedicated staff members, the event showcased our dedication to maintaining a pristine campus.
The celebration continued with a heartfelt tribute to the visionary Karmaveer Sankalchand Dada at his statue, followed by a flag hoisting ceremony. President Shri Prakash Patel, Vice Chairman of Vishwa Umiya Foundation Shri Deepakbhai Patel, Trustees of Nootan Kelawani Mandal, and our diligent staff graced the occasion. In a significant stride towards environmental sustainability, we inaugurated a BIO-GAS Plant. Additionally, we proudly opened an Urban Health Centre near Nootan School, extending medical services to the people of Visnagar.
Furthering our festivities, we unveiled new 2D and 3D Sonography Machines at Nootan General Hospital, enhancing our ability to provide superior healthcare. These milestones are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire SPU family.
President Shri Prakashbhai Patel acknowledged the late Karmaveer Sankalchand Dada and commended the university's outstanding progress in research, start-ups, and academic development in just 8 years. He expressed profound gratitude to all staff members and envisioned a bright global future for the university.
In recognition of their exemplary contributions, President Shri Prakashbhai Patel, Provost, Registrar, Trustees, along with outstanding teachers, researchers, social service contributors, best young researchers, and other staff, were honored with prestigious Presidential Awards, motivating them to continue their exceptional work.
The Foundation Day celebrations were filled with joyous moments, including cake-cutting ceremonies, various entertainment programs, a musical night, mimicry, and games, fostering a sense of unity and camaraderie among the Trustee Board, university officials, and the entire staff.
