In alignment with the Government of India’s national 'Har Ghar Tiranga' initiative and the vision of 'Viksit Bharat', Sankalchand Patel University (SPU) organized a massive and high-spirited Tiranga Yatra today, bringing together the campus community in a grand celebration of national pride, unity, and civic responsibility.
The patriotic procession saw enthusiastic participation from over 5,000 students, faculty members, administrative staff, and university leadership. The event transformed the route into a sea of Tricolours, stretching into a continuous 1.5-kilometer-long rally that covered a total distance of 4 kilometers from the SPU campus to the heart of Visnagar city.
Accompanied by patriotic music, DJ beats, and spirited chants of Vande Mataram, the rally aimed to promote Jan Bhagidari (public participation) and reinforce the core values of national integrity, respect for the national flag, and collective commitment toward nation-building.
Speaking on the occasion, university representatives highlighted that the event was organized not only to honor the national flag and the sacrifices of freedom fighters, but also to instill a deep sense of social responsibility and civic pride among youth—a key pillar in achieving the vision of a developed India (Viksit Bharat).
The university expressed its sincere gratitude to the local administration, police officials, and the citizens of Visnagar for their cooperation and warm support in making the event a memorable success.
