Sankalchand Patel University (SPU), Visnagar, successfully concluded the three-day Academic Leadership Development Programme organised in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal. The programme, held from 18–20 November 2025, aimed at strengthening leadership competencies among academic administrators in alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The programme focused on enhancing institutional governance, strategic planning, decision-making, team building, and the design of Strategic Institutional Development Plans (SIDP) and Institutional Development Plans (IDP). Sessions also included modules on managing change, creativity and innovation, internal quality assurance, and the latest provisions of NAAC 2024.
Participants engaged in interactive sessions, group exercises, case studies, self-assessment activities, and hands-on assignments such as SWOT analysis and leadership modelling. The resource persons Dr. Parag Dubey and Dr. B.L. Gupta from NITTTR Bhopal shared valuable insights on effective institutional management, visionary leadership, and the cultivation of a culture of excellence.
The programme concluded with participant presentations, an achievement test, and a formal Valedictory Session during which certificates were distributed. The event received positive feedback from all attendees, who expressed that the training significantly enhanced their understanding of leadership roles in the higher education ecosystem.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), SPU, coordinated the programme under the guidance of university leadership. SPU remains committed to capacity building, quality enhancement, and academic excellence through such impactful initiatives.
