Today the Friday, July 8, 2022, Sankalchand Patel University (SPU) at Visnagar organized a Tree Plantation drive on eve of Mirchi Green Yodha (Radio Mirchi) near the Nootan Homoeopathic Medical College of its Campus. On this occasion, RJ Mit has been the Guest of appearance. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr. Prakashbhai Patel, the Hon’ble President, Sankalchand Patel University, Provost Dr. DG Shah, and Registrar Dr. PK Pandey. Also, the Deans/Principals/HODs graced their presence along with the Staff and the Students of the SPU.
Radio Mirchi has donated 10000 Trees to the SPU Campus as part of Green Revolution. The SPU has further planned to distribute 200 Plants to each of its constituent Institute for onward distribution to their staff and students for planting the trees at the place of their own choices. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Prakashbhai Patel, the Hon’ble President Sankalchand Patel University said, “I am delighted to be present in this ceremonial Event and reiterated that we take care of the nature and pledge to make the environs beautiful and green. We are thankful to Red FM Mirchi for providing saplings and making this Event successful. Tree plantation is very important for the community and this initiative will go a long way in inculcating awareness about environment conservation. We do not just plant but also we nurture them. SPU is a tranquil Campus protecting and conserving the environment.”
Furthermore, the Teaching, Non-Teaching Staff and the Students pledged today not only to plant trees but also to nurture them and to drive the society in making them more conscious and aware about the environment and its conservation.
