Visnagar: On March 22, 2025, Sankalchand Patel University marked World Water Day with a special initiative focused on water conservation and environmental protection. The event saw participation from university officials, professors, and students.
Distinguished attendees included Provost Dr. P.M. Udani, Registrar Dr. Parimal Trivedi, Technical Director Shri H.N. Shah, and NSS Coordinator Dr. Rakesh N. Patel, along with principals and faculty members from various departments.
To promote water conservation, over 50 water pots were installed across the campus to provide drinking water for birds and animals. Additionally, birdhouses were placed to offer shelter during the scorching summer.
NSS student volunteers also spread awareness on water conservation within the campus and surrounding areas, emphasizing the importance of protecting natural resources.
Registrar Dr. Parimal Trivedi shared his thoughts:
"Water is life, and our future depends on its conservation. This initiative by the university aims to spread awareness and encourage everyone to take action for a sustainable future."
The event concluded with participants taking a pledge to save water and protect the environment, reaffirming their commitment to sustainability.
