The 77th Republic Day of India is celebrated with great pride, enthusiasm, and a deep sense of national spirit at Sankalchand Patel University, Visnagar, on 26th January. On this auspicious occasion, the Honorable President of the University, Shri Prakashbhai Patel, unfurled the national tricolor and paid homage to the nation.
While addressing the gathering, he fondly remembered the invaluable contributions of Karmaveer Late Shri Sankalchandbhai Patel, along with the freedom fighters and great personalities who dedicated their lives to India’s independence, and offered heartfelt verbal tributes in their honor.
Extending his warm wishes on the occasion of Republic Day, Shri Prakashbhai Patel emphasized that the strong foundation of a nation’s holistic development rests upon its youth and quality education. He highlighted that Sankalchand Patel University is making a significant contribution to national development by providing quality higher education through health, technical, and professional programs. He further stated that Republic Day is not merely a day of celebration, but an opportunity to imbibe the core values of the Indian Constitution—democracy, equality, and justice.
He also underlined the importance of nurturing a disciplined, aware, and value-driven younger generation to realize the vision of “Viksit Bharat @2047” envisioned by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In this direction, Sankalchand Patel University continues to play a vital role. He congratulated the entire university fraternity on receiving the NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation, describing it as a symbol of the university’s academic excellence, research initiatives, and overall development. Additionally, he shared detailed information about various upcoming projects aimed at the comprehensive development of students.
A special and emotionally enriching program titled “Prayer of Mother India” and “Maa Bharati Vandan” was organized on this occasion. The program was graced by Shri Jitendrabhai Modi, Vice President of Sanskar Bharati Gujarat Province and District President of Mehsana, along with Shri Rakeshbhai Gurjar, State Secretary of Sanskar Bharati Gujarat, and their team. The prayer, which reflected the glory, sacrifice, and spiritual strength of Mother India, filled the atmosphere with deep emotion and patriotism. It conveyed the message that Mother India is not merely a land, but a living symbol of culture, unity, sacrifice, and selfless dedication, further strengthening the sense of national pride among all present.
The program witnessed the esteemed presence of the Honorable Trustees of Nootan Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal, Provost Dr. P. M. Udani, Registrar Dr. Parimal Trivedi, principals of affiliated institutions, deans, faculty members, NSS volunteers, and a large number of students from Nutan Global School and affiliated colleges, making the celebration truly grand.
The event was jointly organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports and the NSS Unit of Sankalchand Patel University.
