Sankalchand Patel University gives smile to 50 families by doing free plastic surgery

Its proud moment for Visnagar that more than 50 patient’s plastic surgery was done by famous surgeon from USA Dr.Raja Lalla. The camp was organized by Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Narsinhbhai Patel Dental College and Hospital, Nootan general hospital, [NMCRC] and Rotary club of Visnagar. This was “First Free General plastic surgery and cleft lip & palate camp” organised in visnagar from 27-29th Sept,2022.

Shri Praksbhai Patel President of Sankalchand Patel University welcomed the guests and assured to provide all the facilities needed for the treatment. He appreciated the project co-ordinators Dr.Anil Managutti HOD, Dept of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and Dr.Nirav Patel for well organised camp.

Dr.D.J Shah Provost of SPU said that the team has done wonderful job under the guidance of Dr.Vilas Patel, Dean of dental college. He said such camps will be organized every year so the poor patients from north Gujarat can get benefited.

On day one more than 150 OPD patients took expert opinion of Dr.Raj Lalla, Dr,Lalita Lalla and DR.Amit Basannavar from Bharati vidhyapeeth dental college Sangli. After screening, the patients were sent for blood investigations and opinion of paediatrician and anaesthetist from Nootan general hospital. The team lead by Dr.Himanshu Joshi, Dean NMCRC, Dr.Pankaj Nimbalkar, Medical superintendent NGH and Dr.Sunita Managutti Deputy Medical Superintendent NGH managed the smooth conduction of the camp and did great support by providing all the anesthesia and ward medicines free of cost to the patients.
