World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated annually on 5 June and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment.
Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering – A constituent institute of Sankalchand Patel University, has organized world Environment Day Celebration on 06th June, 2022 to make awareness about the environment and its protection among the students and staff. Civil Engineering Department has taken initiation to celebrate various events on the occasion like Tree Plantation, Poster Presentation and Cleaning the campus. More than 100 students and staff have actively participated in the event. First year students presented Different posters based on various environment related issues and its protection. Shri Prakashbhai Patel Sir (President, Sankalchand Patel University) is always encouraging the students and staff to become pro-environment and he has been active source of inspiration to carry out various activities related to environment as a leader of socially responsible university.Dr.J.R.Patel (Vice-Chancellor, SPU), Dr.D.J.Shah (Director, Technical Courses and Principal, SPCE) and Dr.P.K.Pandey (Registrar, SPU) have inaugurated the function by planting trees in the campus. They also visited the poster presentation and encouraged the students for taking participation in the event. Dr. Ujash Shah (I/c Principal, Nootan Pharmacy College) and Dr. Heena Rajput (Faculty, Nootan Medical College and Research Center) have assessed the poster presentation and appreciated the work. Dr. Santosh G.Shah (HOD, Civil Engineering), Dr. Yogesh S. Patel (Professor, Civil Engineering) and staff have actively involved making the event a grand success.
