Public Health Dentistry Department of Narsinhabhai Patel Dental College and Hospital(NPDCH) affiliated to Sankalchand Patel University organized “World No Tobacco Week” from May 25, 2022 to May 31, 2022 with approximately 550 participants. In collaboration with the World Health Organization(WHO). The program will feature information on various topics related to tobacco through 4 speakers and various competitions such as poster presentation, scientific paper presentation, rangoli competition and Instagram reel making have been organized. Rallies and street plays have been organized for the purpose of public awareness. Throughout the program, people addicted to tobacco will be screened and given guidance for de-addiction, as well as diagnosed with symptoms such as cancer. The entire program will be organized under the guidance of University President Shri Prakashbhai Patel, Provost and Dean of Narsinhbhai Patel Dental College Dr J R Patel and Associate Dean Dr Vilas Patel and under the chairmanship of Dr Ipsita Menon, Head, Department of Public Health Dentistry.
